Ganther Place Earns 'Think Green' Award
Keep Columbus Beautiful has awarded a $10,000 grant to Ganthers Place. The grant was made possible through funding provided by the Waste Management Charitable Foundation and Keep America Beautiful.

The "Think Green" Community Improvement Grant helps support the beautification of green space located in Ganthers Place. The purpose of the funding is to develop a safe centralized public park for year-round community interaction that will enhance and support efforts to fight environmental blight and crime.

The funds will be used for additional landscaping and the construction of a greenhouse in the Ganthers Place Park for All People.

This is great news for our neighborhood.

"Everyone should be very proud that our hard work and effort is being recognized. People working together can truly make a difference," says neighborhood resident, Ken Williams. Ganthers Place was one of only 18 local recipients of a grant. A total of 85 neighborhood s applied for the grant.

Special thanks to Sherri Palmer, Bob Seed and the rest of the Keep Columbus Beautiful for their help in securing this grant.
